Barbora Richtrová
Listy klinické logopedie 2021, 5(1):31-36 | DOI: 10.36833/lkl.2021.0102948
The presented case report is focused on a boy with a developmental speech fluency disorder. The main aim of the case study is to point out the importance of a holistic approach to the diagnosis and therapy in young children with symptomatic developmental stuttering. At the same time, we briefly introduce the Sensorimotor Art Therapy method, Work at the Clay Field®. This method is one of the "bottom-up" approaches and thus suitably complements Clinical Speech Therapy in the sensorimotor, emotional and social contexts, which are often inadequate in the dominantly Cognitive Speech Therapy area.

Tumultus sermonis (TS), cluttering, is a highly specific phenomenon in the field of speech fluency disorders. The development of knowledge in this area is characterised by long-standing difficulties in determining the adequate terminology, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The knowledge of TS is also extremely inspirational in the acquisition of a deeper understanding of the process of speech communication and its disorders. The paper presents the current state of knowledge of this communication disorder from the perspective of Clinical Speech Therapy and the perspective of clinical assessment and therapy for people with TS.
