The assessment of the feeding skills of infants and older children is an important part of speech-language pathologist intervention in the field of paediatric dysphagia. This article presents some paediatric feeding assessment and treatment tools from abroad, which are also accessible to specialists in the Czech Republic, as well as basic information on the infant-driven, or cue-based approach to infant feeding.

The article presents "Test porozumění větám", the adapted Czech version of the original Slovak test. The aim of the article is a brief description of the test, the process of adaptation and setting the standards for the Czech version, with some results and discussion. Percentile standards for adults were determined with respect to age (Nohová et al., in preparation). The symptomatology of Developmental Language Disorder goes significantly beyond language deficits and affects the quality of life of people suffering from this diagnosis. This review study describes the effect of emotional, behavioural and social difficulties on the quality of life of a child with a language disorder. It draws attention to the importance of the complexity of therapeutic intervention, especially to taking into account the emotional and social difficulties and their stimulation. Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease caused by the disruption of neuromuscular transmission, due to the production of antibodies against acetylcholine receptors located at the neuromuscular junction.
