Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), or concussion, is among the most common neurological disorders. One goal of this review is to introduce an update on early management in mTBI that deals with the identification of patients at increased risk of clinically significant lesions requiring neurosurgical intervention or observation in hospital. Another aim is to present the revision of our view about mTBI as fully reversible insult.
