The approval process
- At the moment of electronic submission author expresses his/her agreement with so-called Affidavit.
- Each article undergoes an anti-plagiarism check before it is submitted for review. For antiplag. check of Czech articles we use Odevzdej.cz system. For check of texts in English we use the Viper Plagiarism checker.
- Each article goes through an independent double-blind peer review of two reviewers, which aims, among other things, are to avoid the possibility of interacting with reviewers and authors (see the Review Rules).
Therefore the author:
- Submits two single files to the editors: 1) A tittle-page containing details about the author, 2) a blind manuscript that does not contain any author information and which will be passed on to reviewers.
- When referring to his previous work: For example – author Nováková – does not use the phrase as “as we have previously proved … (Nováková, 2016)” but uses “as previously proved … (Nováková, 2016)”.
- Removes links to sources of funding and does not include acknowledgements (author provides a separate sheet that will not be submitted to the reviewer).
- Editors reserve the right to make small stylistic adjustments to the manuscript. The author receives the draft of the issue to approve the changes before publication.
- The authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.
Clarify all the abbreviations used in the text at the first occurrence.
The text can include tables and charts in an editable format (excel tables). Use your own photographs or photographs with the author’s permission.
